point, when the truth of His credentials were undeniable, and yet people continued to resist the truth He represented, Jesus pronounced a verdict, Forty years later, Jesus’ words would be vindicated by the destruc tion of Jerusalem. Everything He declared and predicted tragically came to pass. The destruction of Jerusalem was not only historically irrefutable, we have an eyewitness account from the writings of Josephus who was employed by the Romans to record the details of the war. It is a pro found and horrifying history. But the point I am trying to emphasize is that Jesus’ warnings came to pass. The church and the world must come to terms with the kingdom of God. It is not a neutral kingdom. The Kingdom of God represents Heaven’s invasion of the earth for ultimate redemption back into the plan of God.
