The nine gifts or manifestations of the Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 are supernatural demonstrations of Divine ability. Just as a man's activities are in the realm of either the mental, the physical or communication, so the Body of Christ (The Church) must learn to function within these three categories of manifestation: A. REVELATION - Word of wisdom, Knowledge and Discerning of Spirits. B. POWER - faith, healing and miracles. C. UTTERANCE - prophecy, tongues and interpretation of tongues. Spiritual gifts may be received in different ways: A. A manifestation of the Spirit may become evident following the receiving of the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 19:6; 3:6; 1 Corinthians 12:8-11. B.
