The lessons in this section of the catechism course could be called: "Steps to Maturity through the Ministry of the Holy Spirit." From simple Salvation to Resurrection Glory, each step in the Christian's walk is accomplished through the Holy Spirit, and is a reproduction of the growth pattern which the Spirit has already shown us in the life of Jesus. In a way, Part VII is a study of the Christian's experiences in Christ. It is also an analysis of the Holy Spirit and His ministry. Our understanding of the Holy Spirit comes through Bible study, but also through the mysterious and exciting ways in which He deals with us. We understand God the Father through the study of His covenants; we understand Jesus the Son through the study of the Gospels and the work of redemption; we will understand the person of the Holy Spirit as He brings us progressively through the experiences outlined in this part of the catechism.
