susceptible to deception in this world. I remember times in my life I was confident I was right only to discover I was wrong. It doesn't matter how much you've studied the Scriptures. It doesn't matter if you have letters behind your name. It doesn't matter if you've been a teacher for fifty years. The evidence of too many mighty men and women of God falling into error is compelling. History is littered with the lives and ministries of great people who got too big for their own britches. Nobody could correct them. All of us must stay in relationship and embrace humility. Safety is in the contest of relational accountability. Lies are all that come from the devil. There is no truth in him. His strategy is to plant lies within our inner man. They are lies about who God is and about who we are. I've heard the stories of hundreds and hundreds of people who believed a lie about themselves. Tragic experiences and confirming circumstances support these lies and locked them in a cage of unbelief. When anyone comes into agreement with a lie it empowers our enemy to manipulate and control that part of our world. The opposite of this is also true. When anyone comes into agreement with the truth it empowers Jesus to bring freedom to the prisoner. The result is favor and blessing to live a new life.

Give Holy Spirit permission to shine the light of truth into your life. Get with a friend you trust and ask them if there is any area of your life that they see where you might need a Godly adjustment. Receive what they say without defensiveness.
