humans. In Christ, I stand in a position of authority over those who once ruled me. I, the former slave, have become the landowner. There has been a true reversal of roles. I no longer have to obey my old master. I don't even have to listen to what He says about me. Is this good news or what?? The position that Jesus has taken as head over all has created an open door for us. Because we are in Him, we move to the head of the class. Because He is complete, we are complete in the eyes of our Father. He is aware of our weakness and propensity to fall short, but the work of Jesus has brought us into close harmony with a loving Father. Because the penalty of sin has been paid for, we can enjoy the journey with our Papa. Even though He is eternal, He is a very present Father, who lives in the moment with you. Consider then, that every day with Him can be a work of art. There is a point when every artist has to say, 'the painting is done.' He won't keep going back to touch up his work. Can you imagine an artist walking around a gallery with a paintbrush? You are complete in Him because He says you are complete. A few years ago, my eldest daughter was about to be married. She had come home from ministry school training for a couple months to make preparations for the wedding. About a month before the wedding I decided it would be good to spend a special day with her. It was kind of a last fling with Dad, saying goodbye to single hood. While she was in school, she had taken up painting, so we decided to go to the Oregon coast to paint together. We went to Pacific City and found a log to sit on. She forgot her easel, so we shared mine. I'm right-handed and she's a lefty. So we sat shoulder to shoulder each painting what we saw on separate canvases. We talked about life, memories, the future, Andrew her fiancé', school and being married. Our
