Yet their story was so convincing, timed also with a vision from the Lord, and the fact that the angel had given them the directions to find his hiding place, perhaps the very same angel which released him from prison, that he went with them and witnessed for the first time Gentiles who called upon the Name of the Lord receive salvation and be filled with the Holy Spirit with the manifestation of the baptism of the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues. Now there are plenty of Old Testament scriptures that speak of salvation coming to all the world and Gentiles coming into the Kingdom. Even Jesus spoke of this: John 10:16 “ And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd .” And in His Great Commission to the Church Jesus said: Acts 1:8 “ But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. "
