FIVE SMOOTH STONES — The Five Ascension Gifts in the Heavenly Shepherd’s Bag

Yet we have seen examples in the Church where a leader was guilty of some sin, and a well-meaning believer came to that leader alone and the leader, while feigning repentance, continued in their sin. It may have been much longer before the matter became known and much more damage occurred that could have been avoided if the issue had been handled according to the word of God. By going before the leadership, not only is the leader in question protected from unnecessary accusations, but if there is truth to an accusation, then the proper remedy can be administered and the leader can receive the correction and restoration needed, if found to be necessary. This was required in lieu direct Government oversight and intervention in the Churches. The results have been generally good for the people and for the expansion of the Church. In biblical times this was expected. We see this in Acts with the Jews discussing what to do about the movement within Judaism called the Sect of the Nazarene and Christians (Acts 5:33-42). Sound advice was given and received. Acts 5:35 " Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. 38 And now I say to you, keep away
