FIVE SMOOTH STONES — The Five Ascension Gifts in the Heavenly Shepherd’s Bag
he should be considered part of the fulfillment of the building of a nation made up of prophets, priests and kings. Still all prophecy given by a fivefold prophet must stand up to the judgment of two or three witnesses, and true seasoned New Testament prophets should expect the same sort of supernatural confirmation to their words as Old Testament prophets or book of Acts New Testament prophets received. In Ephesians chapter 4, in reference to the proven ascension gifts, including the prophet, the Greek word doma is used for our word gifts. Those prophets in the doma category are called by the Lord to give their lives as prophets in service to the body of Christ. The charismatic gifts of the spirit are given to the individual so he or she may edify the Church (1 Corinthians 14:5, 12). The ascension gifts are individuals called out to serve the body of Christ and whose lives are given as gifts to perfect or equip the saints and serve the Body of Christ through one or more doma gifts. ENDNOTES: 26 In the New Testament, Jesus said the spirit would show us things to come, John 16:13. “ However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come .” 27 2 Kings 20:1 “ In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, "Thus says the Lord: Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live. 2 Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying, 3 Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight. And Hezekiah wept bitterly. 4 And it happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 5 Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord. 6 And I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for My own sake, and for the sake of My servant David ."
