Beginning Tomorrow Today - By Timothy Sherman
coming and going with food on delivery trays, picking up empties, taking orders for burgers, fries, malts and shakes and everything else on the menu. They came and went with big smiles and seemed to have fun doing their jobs. We were there for thirty or forty minutes. We finished the food and paid the bill. Then we went to a service station to fill up with gas and clean the trash out of the car. All this took about an hour. We left North Augusta turning onto the road and almost getting run over by a truck I didn't see. I was tired and so were Glenda and Renee. They began chewing me out for not seeing the truck. We started to talk about our need for God to translate us and I gave the short three-minute overview of the translation to Russia. We all looked at the clock on the dash o f the car. It was 11: 19 p.m. I asked Renee how far it was and how long it would take to get home. She said it was about two hundred miles and would take about three hours, "ifl didn't get us run over by another truck!" She laughed, with Glenda chiming in with a giggle. Renee started tell ing a quick reference to a story of a translation she had experienced, and suddenly we were coming up to the welcome sign to Lincolnton with the bridge in sight. It happened in a blink. I said, "Renee, we are here!" She sounded back loudly, "We can't be; we just now left North Augusta!" But we were! I looked at the clock on the dash and stated the time, while both of them were saying, "It can't be!" It was still 11:19 p.m. l\1y wristwatch said the same thing, as did all the other clocks we started checking as we drove through Lincolnton. They were all within a couple of minutes of each other, which we double-checked. It seemed as if time had stood still once again! God had translated us almost two hundred miles in the blink of an eye! The conditions of the world are very alarming at times. When seen through the eyes of faith they become very exciting. We are in "the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began'' (Acts 98
